PL: Week 2 Fantasy Review – All About Alonso!

Another week, another torturous week for Fantasy Football owners! How did you far out this week? Have you blown your load on the Wildcard yet? I did a nice 54 points this week.  Here’s the 2Bit Sports Fantasy Review:

Here’s the official Fantasy Football “Dream Team” – Some big names brought some nice points!

Fantasy Football Dream Week 2

Paul Pogba dominates again this week with a goal and two assists, but the VIP of the week is the Chelsea wing-back Marcos Alonso with two goals that gave Chelsea the bragging rights in London.

Richarlison & Jése are two players that Fantasy owners need to pay attention to and being priced around £6m they wont break the bank! Both were on the scoresheet in Gameweek 2 and will probably end up getting 7-10 goals this season. Nice sleepers in the Draft game if you are playing that version of the game.

Noticeable absentees?

(Repeated from week 1) I’m sure a lot of owners are cursing Harry Kane for not bagging a couple of goals against a weak Newcastle side (Insert weakened Chelsea defense). I say more fool you! Kane has still not scored a Premier League goal in August, a strange statistic you’ll all agree but good managers will have done their research and known this. (Or just didn’t want to blow their wad (£12.5m) on him just yet). To be fair, he could of had one or two against Chelsea especially after hitting the post.

Like last week, owners will be growing tired of Marcus Rashford not getting big points. His performances haven’t been bad but I wonder how long Mourinho will wait before drafting in Martial instead of him on the left wing.

No Arsenal players? They had a stinker against Stoke and will need to pick themselves up against Liverpool this week or pressure will mount on the Gunners!

So what have we learned from week 2?

  • Romelu Lukaku might struggle away from Old Trafford and against a stacked defense.
  • Mkhitaryan will be a challenger to Eriksen and Ozil for King of the Assists!
  • Stoke might have turned a corner.
  • Arsenal look under pressure, need a big performance against Liverpool
  • Spurs looked good against Chelsea but couldn’t break down a stubborn defense.
  • Chelsea still unconvincing but organised well against Spurs
  • Players getting idiotic red cards could be a killer in Head to Head leagues.
